The Axe of a Darkest Hunter by Dezgardous The Axe of a Darkest Hunter by Dezgardous
The Axe of the Darkest Hunter
Well, remember I said I was doing yet another digital project? well, here it is. He is Eihnjeryahr, first Lieutenant to Gharahyr and a complete son of a....hmm...you know. Wields the Axe of Justice (the thingie on his back) and guards that....facility thing. I made it with the same techinque as Gharahyr, vector, gradient, mesh bla bla bla on Adobe Illustrator CS2.

I'm going to submit it to :iconclayscence: contest, so here's the description for him:

Full Name: Eihnjeryahr Pheranosz
Age: Unknown, supposedly 50,000 years
Gender: Male
Species: Mathuurek
Allegiance: Dark side, Bleeding Blade Clan
Weapon of Choice: Axe of Justice, Fists
Personal Quote: Do you think I really care about what you think???
Weakness: His own leaders :XD:, his arrogance and stubborness
"Hobbies": Training, Cursing, Fighting, Being Arrogant
Dislikings: Light sided Toas mostly, Etherons
Personality: Arrogant, Excesively Self Confident, Hateful, Vengeful, Lonely and Very Sarcastic
Eihnjeryahr, First Lieutenant of the Bleeding Blade Clan is one of the toughest agents of the Mathuurek. He is the one in charge of hostages, and he kills them with the Axe of Justice as he sees fit. Arrogant, self confident, and engulfed in Darkness and anger, he never cares about what happens to those he kills, he only cares for himself. Also, his temper is a short one, he always is up for fighting no matter what, and sometimes he is stopped by Gharahyr himself. Despite this, he is deadly and in any situation is difficult to handle. Nobody knows how old is he, some say he is as old as Gharahyr, but in the end it doesn't matter, because when his rage is unleashed, there's no age, no weakness, no thought that can stop him....

Woah! That looks AMAZING!

I'm new to deviant art, and i was wondering how do you do that kind of drawing on illustrator? I have the cs3 version now, and draw quite alot. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Jajaja, thanks a lot, and welcome :)
But well, to do this kind of thing you need first of all, experience with illustrator, you also need to learn how to manage well your layers and the elements in them, besides that the imagination and creativity is a MUST. Also something that many in school ask me is how to make those crystals on the armor, and that is done with Mesh, a tool pretty handy to make shapes with depth

Cool, thanks!
I'm kinda experimenting with illustrator because i always draw loads of sketches of creatures, robots etc but never scan them in.
I have illustrator cs3, and am having difficulty with the live trace button; all my lines either completely disappear or go too thick and miss out large gaps of my drawing! Please help so i can add stuff!

Jajajaja, well, first of all, Live trace is something I don't personally like, it's kinda too easy for me :XD:, besides it comes with those kind of problems, I really suggest you use the old tecnique of vectorizing piece by piece and using mesh and transparencies, works better, believe me ;)

lolz!

Sounds way complicated! Vetorizing piece by piece? Sounds cooler than live trace anyhow. I'll probably have too look it up on the internet; as i just siad, sounds VERY complicated.
I guess you do have to start somewhere.
Thanks for the advice by the way, i really do appreciate it!
